Patrick Prohaska has always had a keen scientific interest in the mysteries of the world. For his undergraduate degree he studied History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Kansas, where he specialized in the history of chemistry, from its Medieval roots in alchemy through the scientific revolution. He carried his passion for scientific analysis into his Master's Degree program in Asian Religions, with an emphasis on ancient India. In his doctorate program he is "ABD" for a degree in Religion in Modern India.

Throughout his academic career, Patrick dabbled in various healing modalities, trying them out in a scientific manner to see which ones worked for him. He studied the Radiance Technique version of Reiki, became an expert in aromatherapy and herbal medicine, and developed a thriving massage therapy practice in Brescia, Italy in the early 1990s. He also taught skills in graduate school, and served for a year as a visiting professor of Philosophy and Religion at Coe college in central Iowa.

Like many students, Patrick funded his education working in the restaurant industry, and by the time he was ready to write his dissertation he'd already been General Manager of two upscale restaurants. When university support for low-profit programs such as Asian Religions began to dry up he decided to abandon teaching and instead embrace a career in restaurant management.

This led him to San Francisco and Los Angeles, two markets in which the upscale restaurant industry can be absolutely cut-throat. Over the years he held management positions at some of the most prestigious restaurants in the nation, jobs that many restaurateurs would have sold their soul to get. But he felt dead inside. He jumped from job to job, hoping to find a position that he could finally be happy with, but each one was progressively less satisfying than the last. Where were the Reiki principles? Where was the yoga mindset? He spent 12-14 hours a day, six days a week, running from crisis to crisis and butting heads with some of the most inflated egos in the industry. In the end he collapsed and found himself in the hospital with stress and anxiety-related respiratory issues. He hit rock bottom, lost everything, and vowed to once again live life on his own terns, from a place of personal power.

His first step was to dive once again into the universal principles and practices that had previously brought him joy. He studied Law of Attraction life coaching with a prominent coaching academy, received multiple certifications in Theta Healing, and became a certified practitioner and teacher of Awakening Dynamics. Eventually he synthesized his own system, Thrive Energetics, which blends Law of Attraction life coaching principles with powerful morphogenetic field activations and subconscious reprogramming.

Patrick is based in Northern California, and is available for lectures, seminars, and workshops around the globe.
